After graduating from Nebraska, Thien Chau ('15) moved to Washington, D.C. to work for the Environmental Defense Fund for a summer. While with EDF, he worked on the Defend Our Future campaign, which mobilizes young leaders on college campuses to address climate change through civic participation.
Thien attended Georgetown University Law Center and was a member of the Environmental Law Review and Georgetown's Moot Court Team.
He clerked with the Environmental Law Institute, working on topics such as the Clean Water Act, landlord-tenant obligations, and natural resource damage assessments.
Though he's been in D.C. for a while, he tells us that he's still at Husker at heart and loves seeing the progress UNL is making on environmental sustainability!
