About Us

We seek students who seek change. We help them discover their passion, and provide the knowledge and skills needed to turn it into a lifetime of action.

In a positive, nurturing, collaborative learning environment, we prepare them to solve current and future local, regional, and global environmental challenges.

We pair a truly interdisciplinary curriculum with a student-centered approach that emphasizes community engagement, compelling internship opportunities, and fulfilling education abroad.

Through fantastic teaching, excellent advising and real-world research experiences, we teach students to think critically, to problem-solve strategically and to challenge stale ideas. We teach them to communicate their own ideas clearly and effectively.

We prepare them to lead. Our graduates go on to careers in environment and public health, sustainability, environmental education, and as entrepreneurs.

It’s their job to make the world a better place. Make it yours.

Two Pathways for the Degree

When choosing a college, think about your other interests and the general requirements of the college. View the four-year plans or meet with an academic advisor to see which option is best for you.

College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources

Pathway provides students with two options. For the standard option, students can select a minor in any of the college disciplinary areas. For natural resources option, students gain a diverse understanding of water, soil and environmental sciences.  In addition, there are three accelerated programs designed for students interested in pursuing post-undergraduate degrees in public health, law or community and regional planning.

College of Arts and Sciences

Pathway provides students with two options. For policy, advocacy and social justice option, students learn to lead for change. For biosphere and earth systems option, students gain a diverse scientific understanding of environmental issues and information. Career coaching ensures students have opportunities for high quality advanced degrees or related employment right after graduation.
