Accelerated Programs

The collaborative and accelerated programs are designed for students interested in pursuing post-undergraduate degrees in public health, law or community and regional planning.

Community and Regional Planning

This accelerated program, a collaboration with the UNL College of Architecture, prepares students for professional roles in addressing complex environmental issues related to community planning. After completion of the program, students will have earned a Bachelor of Science in Environmental and Sustainability Studies and a Master of Community and Regional Planning. This accelerated program can be completed in five years of full-time study, compared to six years if the programs were completed separately.

Pre-Law and Public Health

Choose from one of two collaborative programs – Public Health and Pre-Law. For public health, a collaboration with the University of Nebraska-Medical Center, students work toward the Environmental and Occupational Health concentration in the Master of Public Health program requirements while completing their undergraduate Bachelor of Science in Environmental and Sustainability Studies. Upon early acceptance to the pre-law program in the University of Nebraska College of Law, students will use the combined degree format to complete three years of undergraduate study followed by three years of law school.
